Waynetown, Aug 20 - Mrs. Ella Ellis, a long resident of this community, died at her home between here and Hillsboro Tuesday evneing about 5 o'clock after an illness from internal cancer which lasted nearly a year. Mrs. Ellis, the wife of CC Ellis and daughter of Mr. Hughes of Hillsboro was born in Illinois February 20, 1871. When a small girl her parents and their family moved to Ohio. Later when Mrs. Ellis was about 5 years of age, they moved to Hillsboro where they have since lived. About 30 years ago, Mrs. ELlis married and from the marriage three children were born all of whom survive: Ross, Vern and Gladys Ellis.

Her other survivors are her father, Hughey Hughes of Hillsboro; two brothers, Charles Hughes of Danville, Ill and Arthur Hughes of Hoopston, ill; her sister, Mary Hughes of Danville, Ill and stepmother, Mrs. Hughey Hughes of Hillsboro. The funeral will be held in the INgersoll Christian Church of which she was a member Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock under the direction of Rev. HA Davis. - kbz
